Spices Are Essential Components of a Healthy Diet

Spices have by far the highest levels of antioxidants of all food types. They help to prevent cancer, heart disease, stroke, Alzheimer’s disease diabetes, slow aging and improve athletic performance.

Five spices (clove, oregano, cinnamon, ginger and turmeric) are at the top of the list of the 50 most antioxidant rich foods. And of those 50 antioxidant packed foods, a staggering 25% are spices!
